Quick Explainers
What is WebDAV?
Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning turns cloud storage into a drive that appears locally. Think of it as a secure, always-on USB cable between Seedr and any software that speaks the protocol.Seedr's WebDAV, Refreshed in 2025We've rebuilt our WebDAV engine under the hood with:
- Stronger, steadier connections – fewer "drive-dropped" moments and faster re-indexing.
- Broader device compatibility – seamless mounts on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS/Files, Android clients, smart-TV apps, and NAS boxes.
- Smarter throughput – adaptive buffering that keeps 4K streams smooth even on spotty home Wi-Fi.
Bottom line: mount Seedr once, and it just stays put—no tweaks, no timeouts, just reliable, polished WebDAV wherever you need it.
