Getting Started

Seedr is a cloud-based service that fetches files from the internet to your personal cloud storage. Instead of downloading files directly to your device, Seedr downloads them to secure cloud servers where you can stream, manage, and download them at your convenience. Key benefits: • Stream videos instantly without waiting for downloads • Access files from any device with a web browser • Keep your IP address private — you never connect directly to download sources • No software to install — works entirely in your browser • Files stay available 24/7, even when your devices are off

Privacy & Security

Yes. When you use Seedr: • Your IP address never connects to download sources — only Seedr's servers do • All connections between you and Seedr use HTTPS encryption • Your ISP can see you're connected to Seedr, but not what you're downloading Seedr acts as a privacy layer between you and the content you download.

Learn about security →

No. Your ISP can only see that you're connected to Seedr's servers. They cannot see: • What files you're downloading • What you're streaming • The content of your transfers This is because all traffic between you and Seedr is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. The actual file downloads happen on Seedr's servers, not through your connection.

No. Your IP address is never exposed to download sources. Here's why: 1. You send a link to Seedr 2. Seedr's servers connect to the source and download the file 3. You stream or download from Seedr Download sources only see Seedr's server IP addresses, never yours. This provides a layer of privacy that direct downloads don't offer.

How Seedr protects you →

In most cases, no. Seedr already provides: • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) • IP address protection (sources never see your IP) • Private file storage Using a VPN with Seedr can actually slow down your streaming and downloads without adding meaningful privacy benefits. However, if you want to hide that you're using Seedr from your ISP, a VPN can provide that additional layer.

You can reset your password using the email address associated with your account: 1. Click "Forgot password" on the login page 2. Enter your email address 3. Check your inbox for a reset link 4. Create a new password For security, password reset links expire after 24 hours. If you can't access your email, contact support for assistance.

Storage & Files

Storage depends on your plan: • Free: 2GB • Premium Lite: 30GB • Premium Basic: 100GB • Premium Pro: 500GB • Premium Master: 1TB+ All plans include unlimited monthly transfers — only your stored files count against your limit. Delete files anytime to free up space.

Compare plans →

The maximum file size equals your available storage space. If you have 50GB free, you can add a 50GB file. There's no artificial file size cap — the only limit is your storage plan. Premium accounts can handle very large files without issues.

Seedr provides a full file management system: • Create folders to organize content • Move and copy files between folders • Rename files and folders • Bulk select and manage multiple items • Sort by name, date, or size You can also create folders before adding files, so new downloads go directly where you want them.

Files remain in your storage until you delete them. Both free and paid accounts keep files indefinitely. When you cancel a paid subscription, your account reverts to free tier limits at the end of the billing period.

No. Seedr downloads files entirely on our cloud servers using our bandwidth, not yours. Your internet is only used when you: • Stream content from Seedr • Download files to your device • Upload files from your device The initial fetch from the source happens on our end, which is why you can close your browser and downloads continue.

Troubleshooting

Download speeds depend on several factors: • Source availability: Files with few sources download slower • Your connection: Speed from Seedr to your device depends on your internet • Plan limits: Free accounts have fewer parallel connections • Server load: Peak times may affect speeds Solutions: • Upgrade to Premium for more connections and priority servers • Try downloading at off-peak times • Check if the file has good source availability

Upgrade for faster downloads →

Corrupted downloads are usually caused by interrupted browser downloads. Solutions: • Use a reliable file transfer tool that supports resuming • Resume incomplete downloads rather than starting over • Try a different browser • Check your available disk space Download managers can resume partial downloads and verify file integrity.

Video playback issues usually have simple fixes: • Slow connection: Lower the quality in the player settings • Unsupported format: Rare formats may need conversion (automatic for Premium) • Browser issue: Try a different browser or clear your cache • Ad blocker interference: Try disabling your ad blocker for Seedr If issues persist, try downloading the file and playing locally instead.

If you can't log in: 1. Check that CAPS LOCK is off 2. Try the "Forgot password" option to reset 3. Clear your browser cookies and cache 4. Try a different browser 5. Check if Seedr is down (status.seedr.cc) If you still can't access your account, contact support with your registered email address.

Reset password →

A download stuck at 0% usually means: • No available sources • Invalid or expired link Solutions: • Wait — sometimes sources come online after a delay • Try a different source for the same content • Delete and re-add the download
